"Deeper" is a YouTube channel which gained worldwide notoriety for its videos which included a trail of cryptic references related to actual homicides and cases of missing people. This channel originated its uploading in May 2016. These videos were short, ranging from a duration of 10 to 30 seconds and some were less than 10 seconds. At a first glance, these videos don't make much sense because they were literally black and white videos which included footages of household objects like a lightbulb or a ceiling fan, exhaust fan, etc.
The channel uploaded its first video on 20 May 2016 by the title "73 65 63 75 74 69 20 73 75 6E 74" which is in the form of a hex code. When converted to text it reveals the phrase , "secuti sunt" which in Latin means "They followed"
The video footage is extremely shaky and distorted so it is nearly impossible to watch what is actually recorded in it. But it seems like someone is running on the streets, trying to escape from someone.
After this first video, the channel uploaded around 11 videos on the very next day. Those videos mostly made things even more complicated but the one video among these, which proved to be a breakthrough was the one by the title , "listen"
In the video, an open field is filmed and towards the end of the video, a weird sound can be heard. It is not possible to interpret what it says with our ears. However, on converting the audio to a spectogram, it revealed the identity of a lady named Stephanie Ann Bauman.

It was later discovered that, Stephanie was a rape murder victim from Colorado who died in the middle of the street when she was just 15 after being tormented by 5 men. This incident occured back in 1980, but the case is yet unsolved to this day
After people began researching more after this case started to buzz up as a result of public curiousity, it led them down into a rabbit hole of many cryptic messages in the form of black and white videos. The video titles were what gave the videos an eery impression. For e.g the first video title which we discussed about earlier, the third video titled culmus which meant Stock in Latin.
the next video which contained another crucial message was the video titled "TWENTY FIVE"
The footage seems to be of a stairway of some house. The time of recording is 10:36 AM and the date is December 15, 1986 . Similar to the listen video, this video too contains a weird audio message towards the end which revealed the text EBSDZ BOEFSTPO . Now there's actually a link between the title and this text. It was a clue that the decoded text was in Caesar Cipher script and had to be encrypted using Key 25. On deciphering, it revealed one more name :- Darcy Anderson, one more murder victim from Colorado.

Another video with a coded title was "
68 74 74 70 3a 2f 2f 69 2e 69 6d 67 75 72 2e 63 6f 6d 2f 52 69 4f 6c 44 6e 48 2e 70 6e 67" which on converting to text revealed the link to an audio file "mortem.wav" Coincidently one of the previous videos had also had this same title in which there was a blood on some object looking like a trash bag. But if you link this video to another earlier uploaded video "kypw ixlavz" which means cyclosporine(organ transplant). I don't know surely in which lanuguage or code. The video contained footage of a revolver. So this thing looking like a plastic bag might be a human organ.
Adding this as an information, the audio file was converted to a spectogram, it revealed the name Edith Bernice Lehrenz, a lady from Colorado who allegedly went missing.

Previously the channel description, which is now deleted, contained an important clue too. It contained co-ordinates to a location and a hexcode. On deciphering the hex code, we get the terms 'RTZOU OXGIAD RVZIHDAB' which was a vigenere cipher code.
The co-ordinates were of a location near Curtis Rd. SO using Curtis as the keyword, this text was decoded and another text containing Nat BOSCH Cipher code was revealed. On decoding that, a new name was revealed, "Karen Denise Aguilera"

Karen was a homicide victim from Colorado. And here dead body was discovered on an open field near Curtis Rd. Another 14 sec video containing footage of a fan, turned out to be a clue for deciphering it's title. The title contained the text , "n Ibaeq fly tf gmez" which was yet another Vigenere cipher. On decoding it using the keyword "fan", it translated to the sentence, "I loved all of them". The next video contained the title "Ib'k ccl symj" which couldn't be decoded using all different ciphers and keywords.

| THE LAST 2 VHS VIDEOS ON THE CHANNEL |
These two were uploaded after the videos revealing the names of the victims and were the last videos in the VHS (B&W) style. Shortly after this, the user started to upload coloured and clear HD videos. These videos mostly revolved around disposal of some waste. The first coloured video was uploaded on 22 May 2016 by the title "wgtme" and the last was uploaded on 19 June 2019. If we decode the titles of these videos, there are possibilites that it may give rise to more clues or identities and the Deeper story may continue a long way, but since this, no activity ever happened on the channel. Even I haven't watched ahead of the VHS videos, but if you look hard enough, you are surely bound to find some clues in those videos or maybe disclose more identities. But one thing is for sure, this channel is something really serious and no hippy dippy bullshit.
